Private Residence, Stairway Virtual Skylight

In this 1960’s private residence in Finland, a bespoke Light Cognitive skylight was designed at the top of the stairs as part of a complete renovation of the house. The architect chose a recessed installation for the skylight. There was enough space in the attic above the staircase, so a deeper recess was easy to achieve. The result is a very natural light element that fits its surroundings effortlessly. It is placed in the middle of the house where it provides light for all parts of the building. The clients were especially pleased with the uplifting ambiance created by the light. When you install LC, you flood your home with natural light. Whatever time of day or year, you transport yourself immediately to the heart of a European summer.
